"The actual service and attention to detail of the technicians were excellent. My chief concern was that although this was a seasonal check for equipment your company had sold us and installed, the men on the ground did not have paperwork showing our warranty including the serial numbers that they needed for a part. This same lack of preparedness and information was present when I called to learn when the part was available and installation would happen. I had been told I would be contacted. The person who returned my call said the part was covered, but not the labor. This was not the case. I had to look up our records here at home to provide the needed correct information that both were covered. As I say the technical service and accommodation was excellent. However, the technicians who performed the work and the representative who called me back should all have had the information provided to them that was pertinent to the situation. Otherwise it appears to be requiring the customer to do the company's work for them."

"the outside unit is cheap and needs to be replaced." Need a new blower motor, replace 7.5 cap, clean indoor coil, replace 35/5 cap, replace condenser motor, replace compressor. I informed him the owner has a Home Warranty. We don't do warranty work. the warranty company will only put a bandaid on the unit. Strand Bros can do much better!! The entire time was a sales pitch and doom and gloom. Strand Bros - I am a Realtor, you have lost my referral business."

"After spending $3,600 on a new water heater and install, we ended up with a leak that damaged ceiling and drywall. Strand took care of the damage at no additional cost to us, but it was frustrating to have contractors in and out of the house for 2 weeks after a new install - especially since we had just gotten home from the hospital with a newborn. Throughout this whole process, I had to coordinate with each of the contractors about next steps and when they'd be at our house. I didn't get any kind of follow-up call from Strand Brothers explaining the process or steps required to resolve this issue. We felt like we were left on our own to deal with the mess. On top of this, we just signed up for the yearly service plans (HVAC & plumbing). This whole situation doesn't give me a lot of confidence in Strand Brothers."

"Technician emptied the condensation pan and blew out the drain line. However, the problem reoccurred again later that afternoon. Called a different company. They found that the drain line was running uphill and had a kink it near the wall where it exited the attic. They emptied the condensation pan, leveled the drain line and removed the kink. In addition, they cleaned the condensation coils, tightened electrical connection,s and checked coolant level all for $305. Strand Brothers charged $433 for just draining the condensation pan pan and blowing out the drain line which did not solve the problem."

"When the service professional came to our house the first time, he insisted that there was nothing that could be done on your end and that there was no gas leak and no issue and that it HAD to be something with our oven. We were charged for the visit. We then contacted the oven manufacturer. They came to the house and after 2 minutes of looking at the oven, he discovered that there was in fact a problem and a leak which should have been caught by your service professional. We then contacted you to schedule a revisit. I explained all of this over the phone and it was pretty much ignored/went unaddressed without apology, and they put us on the schedule. They were scheduled to be here between 12PM-2PM yesterday. After 2PM passed and I had not received a call or update, I reached out. I was told again, without apology that he was running late and would be there in about 45 minutes. Again, that was incorrect. He finally got to our house after 6:30 PM. He was short with us and rude to my husband. When my husband asked for an itemized receipt and more details he acted annoyed at the idea of a customer wanting to know what they're paying for. It's ABSURD that a company that boasts how amazing its service is and how professional they are, would conduct themselves in this way. Beyond this, it's absolutely ABSURD that in total we paid close to $400 between the two visits, for something YOU MISSED and misdiagnosed to begin with, and then when you finally show up 4 hours late, your service technician acts inconvenienced by being asked ANY questions. Then, we get charged close to $400 for something that took a max of 20 minutes to fix. The technician then went and sat in his truck for 30 minutes and my husband had to finally go outside to see what was going on and what the bill would be. COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS"

"First, this is not about the technician that came to my home. My issue is that the AC wasn't working and there wasn't a clear reason why. The compressor and fan were not engaging and no interlocks were tripped. The conclusion was that the condenser coil was a little dirty and the system had a slightly overcharged. No parts were replaced. This was a warranty service call, however there was a $89 diagnostic charge that I felt uncomfortable in having to pay. The technician ended up removing some refrigerant from the system. No refrigerant had been added or removed since the system was installed. Now I'm thinking that I will have another issue in the future and the technician will tell me that I have too low of a refrigerant level and then charge me another diagnostic charge and charges for additional refrigerant. I'm left knowing that I paid an $89 diagnostic fee and root cause of the problem was not determined."

"As soon as the technician arrived he said that the air condition unit was old but in fact it was only 3 years old. He sounded just like the rip off people you hear about on television. He started quoting several prices and when I told him it should be under warranty he smartly asked for the warranty. He was not a happy person and complained about having to drive an hour to get to my house which was not my problem since his company bought out the company I purchased the unit from. He proceeded to tell me how bad the company I purchased the unit from was which again was not my problem. The original company that the unit was purchased from always took care of things and stood behind the 10 year warranty. I called the main office and complained and Lisa said that she would check into things and call me back. She never did nor did anyone from the office call me back. I was given the choice of paying a high repair bill or signing up for a maintenance agreement. I was lead to believe that signing up for the maintenance agreement would allow the Strand Brothers to honor the warranty of the unit and that would be it. But I was not told that the maintenance agreement was for only one year. The technician left that out until I was ready to sign the agreement. While talking with technician the air condition unit shut off. The technician said that was a sign of additional problems but it was not because the unit had reach the set temperature telling it to turn off. I am not sure this technician really knows all that he should or was he trying to rip me off. I cannot trust the Strand Brothers."
